ABOUT PHIL
Phil has earned the respect of many of his colleagues as one of the most versatile and talented professionals working in the media industry today. His work in an array of creative media disciplines has been seen—and heard—in numerous films, documentaries, commercials, music videos, television & radio programming, and print media.
Phil has been wide-eyed about all things creative from day one. He started performing onstage and putting on private shows for family members at age five. He began drawing, painting, and playing music at six. He discovered tape recorders and experimenting with sound at seven. Then at age eleven, he was introduced to filmmaking and its potential to synergize all other art forms, and he got hooked. Thanks to some big-hearted parents who recognized how serious this passion was, on his fifteenth birthday they managed to outclass years of paint sets and piano lessons by presenting Phil with his very first camcorder.
While still attending high school, Phil’s professional career was given a jump start by a teacher who hired him to create his wedding video. Bolstered by the opportunity, Phil started working as a freelance videographer and cut his teeth on promo videos, short documentaries, and of course, more weddings. A few years after graduation, he showed a passion project he had made to the owner of a local production company and was immediately asked to begin subcontracting for the rapidly growing studio. The gig provided a foundation for Phil's freelance business and gave him a wealth of invaluable experience.
In 2001, Phil decided that his college education—something he had put on hold for his career—was an unfinished chapter he wanted to close. So he took a trip back to school and in 2005, graduated summa cum laude with a BA in communication arts. Soon afterward in 2008, he founded Wired Different Media, Inc., partnering with bigger clients and taking his creative professional services to the next level. Since then he has produced a wealth of media products for an extensive array of corporations, non-profits, and individuals.
Encouraged by his very best friend in life—his wife—Phil has learned how important it is that he continue to make time for passion projects, as they have always been the cornerstone of his successes. Inspired by her wisdom, he is currently composing a collection of original music.
Phil lives and works in Catonsville, Maryland with that same gorgeous woman and their three beautiful children.
